Day 2 @ P.A.R.I.S... 28/06/2012

MAS really does serve good food~! I ate 2 good meals and a few snacks and had a few cups of orange juice , apple juice coffee and tea, after all i paid for it so why not~! XD

First meal on-broad...we had entree , main course to dessert and snacks~! Just delicious

Halfway through my meal... it's Tuna and a very big piece.

Fooling around in the plane

 And we reached CDG airport at 0640 am ...!! Finally i am here!! IT's TRUE! I AM IN FRANCE!! IT'S TRUE.

It was o640 in the morning , and yet i looks like it's already 8 or 9 am in Malaysia. The weather was cold and yet hot at the same time.

After reaching we decided to first go to our hotel as it's too early to pick up our paris passes. So we took the train there.

While on the train there we saw looks of creative graffiti , not like the one we see here, that looks more like scribbling than art. they are really creative there.

One thing i learned when i first reached , FRENCH PEOPLE ARE REALLY FRIENDLY PEOPLE!!! I do not know how come people say that french are rude , but to me they are super Friendly.

We took the CDG RER B line and switched to the RER E line at Gare du Nord . Our station was the last station Chelles Gournay. 

Upon reaching, we went to the information counter and asked for directions to our hotel. They told us , and we went , unfortunately we went to the wrong one , it seems that there are a few Premiere Classe Hotel at the same place as Chelles is a big place afterall. So the receptionist told us how to get to the right one.

We took the bus again , and walked a lot ! I mean a lot!!!!!! We were lost , but luckily we manage to find it, it was adjoined with another hotel Kyriad Hotel , which i suppose is much more expensive.

So we went and wanted to check in , but the lady at the receptionist told us that our rooms will only be ready at 1pm and it's only 0930 at that time.. we didn't know what to do or where to go , so we decided to wait outside the hotel.

An hour later , a lady from Jakarta started talking to us , asking where we are from and all , she was friendly , and we asked her if she could let us put our luggage in her room , and we'll get it back when we return and she's agreed~! YES~!! Not only that , she even offered us to join them on a boat cruise at the seine river which we declined because we had to collect out Paris Pass.

And on our way back to Chelles Gournay station , a bus driver kindly told us that we could get a visit pass , and we don't need to pay for all transportation anymore and we did that.

After that we went to collect our Paris Pass .... at Hard Rock Cafe.

We took RER E and stopped at Magenta , Switched to RER B Gare du Nord and stopped at Chatelet Les Halles. Actually Rambuteau was nearer but being so unfamiliar with our surrounding we stopped at Chatelet Les Halles.

The moment when we came out from the metro , it was like a dream , i still can't believe i am already really in Paris , it was so unbelievable at that moment .
Then and there i experience life of a parisian , men and women in working clothes were walking at a very fast pace .....all beautiful and good looking , still cant believe it~!

We collected our Paris Pass at the Hard Rock Cafe , which was crowded with people. Their seats are really cramped to each other but they dun seem to mind , and they like facing the road too ... this is new to me .....

After taking the pass , we asked for direction to the nearest red bus station , the man told us it was near , near the Grand Palais , a walking distance , turn out it was NOT a walking distance , we walked for almost 30mins asking for directions every 5 minutes before reaching the Grand Palais .

The grand palais was really magnificent , then we took pictures and walked a bit further to take the red bus , " les cars rouges ". It was really an eye opener to see Paris from the open roof top of the bus , we were having the moment of our life time...

In Notre Dame

We view almost all the Paris most visited sites on the bus , Eiffel tower , l'arc de triump , champs elysees ,  musee du louvre, champs de mars , musee d'orsay . we decided to stop at norte dame.We took pictures outside and went in the cathedral and had a view from within , we had to keep quite and not talk because there are actually people saying their prayers inside , before leaving the cathedral , we bought a medallion of the church , as a remembrance.


Then we had lunch at subway , of course i choose jambon~! muahhahaha , what we will never get here~!

 

A bridge at pont d'arts

After lunch we went to a park near Notre Dame , took pictures there and than we walk to pont d'art. There is a bridge where couples and families , mostly couples write their names and lock it along the bridge , and then throw the key into the seine river , yes the infamous seine river , and then it will be an everlasting love. My friend did that , i just wished with my heart , for my family~!

Then we wanted to get a free river cruise with our paris pass , but end up  we couldn't , because we can only use our paris pass at a certain station , at that time we really feel that we were conned to buy the stupid paris pass .... at that time....
It was getting late and we decided to go back...

streets at god knows where~!! WE ARE LOST!!

we got lost~!!!!!!!! LOST~!!! Apparently we took the wrong bus and it was already the last bus~! The driver asked us to get down at GOD KNOWS WHERE and asked us to wait for another last bus ~ we all panicked and talked to each other in a very not friendly tone as everyone was frustrated~! Lucky the bus came , the driver told us that he will not be stopping at our stop , but still took us in as it's already the last bus`! Scary , can't even imagine what will happen if we really missed this bus`! because we were really LOST FOR GOOD~! He stopped us at the last station and we had to ask someone along our way to our hotel , and it wasn't easy because it's already consider later there 930pm , but the sky is still super bright . But luckily in the end we still mange to get to our hotel safely , but everyone was DEAD TIRED from  walking the whole day.


After getting our stuff from NINA , we checked in , the room was better than expected~! much more better then expected~! We took our bath , ate cup noodles and went to bed~! :>
